Fascinating

It's quite simple overall - defend your base and destroy the enemy. Yet it's appealing. Can't explain what exactly of the game is... the music? The battle system? The graphics? I don't know. But I enjoyed very much playing it.

Congrats to the authors, both of the game and the music.
(speaking of music, could I please know where to hear - and maybe get too - the main menu track?)

A great twist to the original golf game

This definitely has to be one of the nicest games I've seen. I'm not a great fan of golf, even though I do not dislike it, but this "interpretation" is so appealing!
Judging from some of the scenario's elements - say, the impossible waterfall" - I caught some slight references to M.C. Escher's style (anybody who know this man will remember some of his surreal works, like two hands drawing each other, optic illusions, and such). I definitely liked them. I don't know if the game's author had that in mind when building the enviroment, but still... great work.

Original idea

The game is brilliant and original, and the basics are simple to learn.
Simply a must-play in its genre.

Sweet, sweet game.

When I first played the game I was amazed by the music. The 8-bit style is also quite nice.
What I learned in a second playthrough was the meanings the author wanted to put into the game. Besides, it's also said by the title: "a game about personal growth".

All in all I've been stuck with Level Up! for quite some time, and I REALLY hope the sequel comes out soon. I'll be there to play it when it does.
